The Kent Cricket Club, KCC secured a home and away win over Mid West club over the weekend to move to the top of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association, SLCA women’s league table.

After defeating Mid West in the first leg, the Kent ladies moved on to overpower their opponents in the second leg by nine wickets. After winning the toss, Mid West took the crease as they opted to bat first but only made 47 runs all out with Sallay Sandy and Aminata Bayoh their top scorers with six and five runs respectively.
An outstanding bowling performance from KCC captain, Ann Marie Kamara, was too hard for Mid West as she took four wickets in just four overs, whilst Isatu Koroma and Alima Johnson collected two and one wickets respectively.
In reply to the first innings, KCC scored 48 runs for the loss of a single wicket, with their skipper Ann Marie Kamara scoring 24 runs not out which saw her scoop the ‘Woman of the Match’ accolade.
Meanwhile, the postponed match between Stadium Stars and the Sierra Leone Police has been scheduled to play on Thursday at the Kingtom Oval.
