Kent opens women's T20 League with victory

Kent Women's Team who have started the season with a magnificent win over Midwest Women's team.

Midwest Women's team won the toss and decided to bat first.

 

Midwest were reduced to 72 runs with Fatmata Kamara top scoring with 12 runs while Sunkarie Koroma scored 10 runs.

Kent's bowlers did a magnificent job and there were plenty of performances to write home about. Fatu Pessima was the leading wicket taker in the game, she took 3 wickets for 10 runs off 3 overs. While Emma Kamara and Christiana Lamin both claimed one wicket apiece.

 

Kent's captain Ann-Marie Kamara played a fantastic innings scoring 35 runs not out off 22 balls helping Kent hunt down their total. The team completed the chase in 8 overs winning the match by 8 wickets.

 

Well done ladies! What a good start to the season! We can't wait to celebrate your achievements throughout the season.

In the other fixture, Sierra Leone Police Women's team defeated the Sierra Leone Correctional Service Women's team.
